Inferring degree of nonextensivity for generalized entropies

چکیده
The purpose of this note is to argue that degree of nonextensivity as given by the Tsallis distribution obtained from maximum entropy principle has a different origin than the nonextensivity inferred from pseudo-additive property of Tsallis entropy. PACS: 05.20.-y, 05.30.-d

Extensivity and nonextensivity of two-parameter entropies
In this paper, we investigate two-parameter entropies and obtain some conditions for their extensivity. By using a generalized (k, r) − product, correlations for subsystems are related to the joint probabilities, so that the entropy remains extensive. email: [email protected] email: [email protected] 1
متن کاملGeneralized Degree-Based Graph Entropies
Inspired by the generalized entropies for graphs, a class of generalized degree-based graph entropies is proposed using the known information-theoretic measures to characterize the structure of complex networks. The new entropies depend on assigning a probability distribution about the degrees to a network. In this paper, some extremal properties of the generalized degree-based graph entropies ...
متن کاملEntropic Nonextensivity as a Measure of Time Series Complexity
Information entropy is applied to the analysis of time series generated by dynamical systems. Complexity of a temporal or spatio-temporal signal is defined as the difference between the sum of entropies of the local linear regions of the trajectory manifold, and the entropy of the globally linearized manifold. When the entropies are Tsallis entropies the complexity is characterized by the value...
متن کاملThe effects of nonextensivity on quantum dissipation
Nonextensive dynamics for a quantum dissipative system described by a Caldirola-Kanai (CK) Hamiltonian is investigated in SU(1,1) coherent states. To see the effects of nonextensivity, the system is generalized through a modification fulfilled by replacing the ordinary exponential function in the standard CK Hamiltonian with the q-exponential function. We confirmed that the time behavior of the...
متن کاملNonextensive quantum method for itinerant-electron ferromagnetism: Superstastical approach
Magnetic and thermodynamical properties of itinerant-electron (metallic) ferromagnets described by the Hubbard model have been discussed with the use of the generalized Fermi-Dirac (GFD) distribution for nonextensive quantum systems. We have derived the GFD distribution within the superstatistics, which is equivalent to that obtained by the maximum-entropy method to the Tsallis entropy with the...
